Boban Dedovic is a Croatian-American psycholinguist, technologist, and podcast host. With a background in psychology, language, and computer science, he currently serves as the Chief Psycholinguistics Officer of LINGA Co. He was born in the former Yugoslavia and grew up in southern Maine before attending the University of Maryland for undergraduate work where he earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Religions of the Ancient Near East and a Bachelor's of Science in Social Psychology. Boban attended the University of Chicago for his graduate studies, where he studied Akkadian and Middle Egyptian. Aside from being a Division I wrestler for the Maryland Terrapins, his formal training includes both hard sciences and the humanities. Most of Boban‘s professional experience is in software development.

Boban also volunteers for causes he supports: like poverty alleviation, teaching kids how to wrestle, and language. He is a board member of three nonprofit organizations, including the OMNIKA Foundation, Julian Jaynes Society, and Nevada Center on Foreign Relations. He has also worked on digital humanities projects like the Allo Latin Dictionary, eHammurabi, and other projects where Boban can integrate ancient studies of language with computer science methodologies.

Boban has published extensive works related to ancient languages like Sumerian, Greek, Latin, Akkadian, and Middle Egyptian, and strongly focuses on mental language, or the words people use to express thinking and feeling action. His research has been presented internationally at prestigious conferences like the International Conference on the Mental Lexicon in Canada, the Dictionary Society of North America biannual conference in Colorado, and the ICSHA social sciences conference in Paris, France.

Boban's podcast appearances and media exposure usually focus on his research, where he has pioneered new methods for translating and interpreting human language from a statistical standpoint.
